This spreadsheet takes raw match data (teams participating, scores, and penalties) and produces calculates the RP and QP for each team. The spreadsheet is initially populated with data from the Florida regional.

At the Finger Lakes regional, the ranking system wasn't working throughout Friday, and I spent a few hours throwing together a spreadsheet to calculate the ranks of the teams. Saturday morning the official system was working, and that spreadsheet was used to double check the official rankings.

Since then, I've completely overhauled the spreadsheet, using Advay Mengle's Ranking spreadsheet (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/papers.php?s=&action=single&paperid=308) as a basis. It's now much easier to use. Thank you to Advay for the start, Kevin Sevcik for checking the spreadsheet, and Kenny from SOAP for providing data from the Florida regional to check the RP algorithm.

Instructions are on the first sheet (Info).

The spreadsheet has been updated this morning to handle DQs, and to manually find the highest match score (ie it's not taken into account in the ranking).

I'm doing the QP calculations with the winner getting the lower of the winners or losers unpenalized score, per update 15, and the highest match score being the teams highest penalized score per 8.3.6. I'm awaiting word on any changes to those based on the discusion in this thread: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...threadid=36282
