This is the presentation I gave at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (MARM 2005) entitled "Robotics as a Vehicle to Achievement, Entrepreneurship and Higher Education". The purpose of this talk was to explain what the FIRST Robotics Competition is, how it works ("a year in the life") and briefly measures its success.
This was given as a speach, and so there is a text, "Robotics as a Vehicle.doc", and a slide show which is mostly pictures with some data and bullets as needed. I played an AVA animation and Shane Colton's great video from BAE, but I have not included them in this package because of size limitations. You can download them separately:
