This 95 page document is the year's upgrade of a manual posted on this form prior to last season. It has been substantially revised since the last post. The most significant addition for this year is an exposition of code that exploits interrupts for wheel counters and the time integration of a rotational rate gyro. The gyro code exhibits very low drift, about one degree per minute, or less, in our initial tests. The wheel counter and gyro code should be easy to integrate and use.

A re-write of the section covering PID control systems will have to wait until next year...

Enjoy,
Eugene Brooks

This manual describes the methods that we use to
program the Team 1280 robot. The manual has been edited
a bit since the last post. A section documenting interrupt
based code for wheel counters and a gyro has been added,
and a download location for the code exposited in the manual
is provided in this section.

I wish everyone a good competition season!
