A simple FFT-based audio tachometer program that might be useful.

AudioTach is a simple program that can analyze sections of a WAVE-format sound file to find frequency information such as motor or transmission RPM. While it doesn’t hold a candle to more sophisticated sound analysis tools, I couldn’t resist the challenge of writing my own simple version and I thought it might come in handy at some point. The single executable file (audiotach.exe) will run on any Windows machine with the .NET Framework 2.0 installed.
