Official DC Regional "Legislative Day" Advocacy & Outreach Video

"Legislative Day" is a grassroots advocacy effort designed to share the message of FIRST with our elected officials.
At the DC Regional, we represent over 300,000 FIRST participants, and our joint advocacy efforts can make the world listen. Advocacy is the act of both arguing in favor of and working actively in support of a cause, an idea, or a policy. We have confidence that we can make a difference.
We are hosting Legislative Day to encourage ALL of our elected officials to come and see what the excitement of FIRST is about. We need your help! Whether or not you are attending the regional, we need you to write your senators and representatives in Washington and tell them about you, your team, FIRST, and your regional event. If you're attending the DC regional, invite them to your Pit, and be ready to be interviewed by the visiting VIPs.
