PI Closed-Loop Control, using VEX and Easy-C Pro, for high school students and coaches
Proportional-Integral-Differential Control is a basic control technique used for many closed-loop systems used in industry.
A simple driving straight algorithm, programmed in Easy-C, has been created that implements the Prop-Integral correction.
The VEX robot utilizes two encoders directly mounted, modifying the motor speed variables via PI control to increase the speed using encoder feedback to assist in driving in a straight line.
