For each robot we build, we use a systems engineering approach to guide us to our final robot design. This is our approach.

For each robot we build, we use a systems engineering approach in conjuction with a Quality Function Deployment evaluation matrix. We've refined the system over the past couple years and have performed very well since we implemented it.

The presentation details a step by step process and gives helpful hints along the way.

Very well done in defining the problem space! I never thought about a robot blocking another robot would make it lose its next turn during the robot role-playing.

One of the critical things to do in Systems Engineering from an organization point of view is knowing where and when to allocate resources based upon complexity and possible risks. That would be the only thing that's missing from this presentation that isn't already provided by FIRST ( ... i.e. there's no point in talking about the architecture since the GDC dictates that ... ).
