A general overview of vision systems for robotics and an introduction to the OpenCV computer vision framework.

I've been working on this when I've had time since the end of the 2008 FIRST season. As a "senior project" that year I looked into using vision to detect the track balls that were used in that year's game. I got the vision part of the project working (but the path planning end didn't come through) and I wanted to share some of my experience with the rest of the FIRST community in hopes that we'll see some amazing autonomous routines in the coming years, especially with the capabilities afforded by the cRIOs.
