We developed these math kits to teach preschool/kindergardeners math while having fun with legos.
In 2010, we started our “Let Go Your LEGO” program. The goal of this program was to recycle LEGO bricks and find them a new home with children in underserved communities. LEGOs engage children to learn and get excited about STEM activities regardless of their language or level of education.
Then in 2013, we developed the LEGO Math Kit program using LEGOs to teach preschoolers and early elementary students basic math concepts. Our goal is to get as many Math Kits in developing countries as possible. Children will learn how to add, subtract and make patterns using the LEGO pieces with the flashcards we've developed. Once the activities are mastered, the children would have LEGOs with which to build and create. The kits consist of approximately 100 LEGOs of various sizes/colors, a set of directions and flashcard activities.
