This is an aid for use in recreating FIRST STRONGHOLD robots to scale with the proposed official LEGO STRONGHOLD set, specifically using LEGO Digital Designer.
The purpose of this white paper is to help teams recreate their FIRST STRONGHOLD robots in LEGO and to increase the visibility and usability of the proposed official LEGO STRONGHOLD set. It starts with a brief overview of how to get and use LEGO Digital Designer for the purposes of designing a robot. Next, each obstacle on the field is broken down with possible LEGO mechanisms that could solve the issues at hand. A brief case study is also shown.
Overall, we hope that this white paper is informative. We are requesting that you recreate your team's own robot in LEGO, and post them as responses to the discussion thread.
The creation of this document was lead by FRC 810 alumnus and mentor Matt Quigley, with collaborations from other FRC 810 alumni.
