Team 190 - Completed chassis

Ok, so most of us here on 190 prefer to remain secluded from the whole "teaser" thing and rather concentrate and focus on building a robot. But after seeing how ridiculous all the teaser pictures have gotten, I was just browsing through some pictures that I took (not intending them for teasers) and came across this one that shows about 3-4 major systems of Gompei 2k3. Enjoy

I see a drill motor, I see lexan over the drill which leads me to belive that it shifts, in the right corner I see what appears to be a Van Door Motor connected to a shaft which looks like its welded to sometype of long arm that extends over the drill, I see a lexan mount for what looks like a piviot for the first section of the arm, I see red Sprockets, with chain going out of the back of the picture, possibly to help with lifting of boxes. I also see a FIRST provided gear box that seems to have the drill motor coming out of the wrong side and, not being connected to anything else becides the Extruded aluminium below it. Near as I can figure WPI will be able to stack boxes and move really quick with some as of yet unseen drive train. I wonder if I'm right. How did I do Tom?

Hmmm.... well other than answering the obvious questions... I have no comment on the rest

I dunno.. It does look WPI-ish with all those wholes in it. Hmm.. doesn't look like that 'chassis-in-an-hour' went together quite right..

.. or in an hour for that matter.. hm

Wait a second isn't that 2x4 being used for the wrong thing? I don't know but it seems this team really messed up in trying to put their 1 hour assembly together. Someone email them the directions!!!!!

190? We're not on 190... we're on 190...B. Yeah, 190B that's it.

What are all those big shafts running through the robot? Those look a little clunky to me. I wonder what kind of 'goat' 190 is this year... Spidergoat.. Batgoat.... Monkeygoat?? Something seems fishy to me. Maybe that's it! Fishgoat!

i thought those round things were just for support???? wierd..... but a fishgoat sounds about right.. i mean how else would we deal with the pool of water at the top of the ramp?

Wow! Look at the nice particle board they used for the bottom there. So innovative.

It also appears that there are no wheels. Oh well who needs wheels. Wall Genie is going to Houston!!!!!

See you at seattle. It will be interesting to see what your robot actually is. Don't expect many pushovers though, even with all the rookie and second year teams.

See you there.
