That's not much. Last years bot is top heavy and is on the ramp. It takes someone who knows about 5 things of physics can figure out that it would be easy to tip that over. But other wise, good wheels.

Originally posted by Ricksta121 first of all I know a lil more than 5 things on physics. And i can say that bot is not top heavy. last time i checked air didn't weigh that much. That robot has never tipped over. and after this pic was taken the new robot was backin off and that old one righted itself. Maybe this picture doesnt prove the power we have. We'll just have to run your bot over later. |

The 2003 robot hit the side of the 2002 robot, climbed up, and tipped it.
Congratulations.
Edit: You? Rub things in someone's face? I'd never imagine such a thing. . .

Todd DerbyshireWell if your saying its similar to last years drive train then hey you guys got a very nice bot. (Visions of RiverRage 6 comes to mind a nice bot just not powerful enough when it actually faces some competition!!)
(If anybody has pics of the finals of River Rage 6 and knows what I'm talking about post it on this thread).
See you in Manchester guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DavidkaSo where does FIRST draw the line between ramming another robot and causing intentional damage? I'm rather concerned that we will cause damage if we run into other robots at full speed (probably about 17 mph).

if you hit the robot, first says that robots should be built to take a beating, but if you go out at a robot and keep beating it i would say they will DQ you
02-11-2003 10:51 AM
DavidkaSo, what if, during the first 15 seconds we go backwards full speed and ram the robot on the other side off the course? Built to endure, right?

i depends, are you intentionaly trying to damge the robot, the only way a team will be DQ'ed is if its shown to be intentional damage, lemme give you an example,
in 2k2 in one round at J&J my team released their mini me too earlly, so the other allinace decided to specifficly target our mini me, ran over it, backed up ran over it and did that all over again, and then spun around on it doing a happy dance, now the officals could have DQ'ed our team for "entanglment" but when your drivers are laughing as they purposly destroy a part of our bot, and the officals notice, then you will be DQ'ed, so the moral of hte story, is Gracious Professionalism, or dont laugh as you break the rules i cant figure out which,
