Thats a half-sphere of High Density Polyethylene so that they have a caster-like device. It just slides across the floor. It's flat on the bottom.
Inside the part where the numbers are, they have some wings attached to a lead screw that come out the front of their robot.
I saw them at the scrimmage so that's how I know....
