Meet our long armed, wingged beast. Fast as they come, strong as the best. Oooooo....she's a sweet machine.

Unread Good work...again!

Great looking robot! Looks like a pretty efficient, fast low-rider. How's stacking working out?

Hope you have a great campaign through Houston...

Did you have to tell that tall kid in the back row (left) to duck under the plumbing???

Unread Greg, is that you?

Greg, it looks like you have had a hair transplant from the top of your head to your face! You promised your team in 1999 to shave your head if the squad brought it home. What about this year? Anyhow the new look is more scholarly. Also, where is MIke C.?

Good luck to you guys, also a top notch program and machine.

Sincerely,

Brian Beatty

We split things up very well.

There are some kids that work on compliance, all they do is make sure the robot complies with rules and know how the robot functions very well. They don't touch the roboto much, just work with alot of CAD drawings and things like that.

There are kids who work on building the robot, they machine stuff and put it together.

There are kids who mainly do electronics. They don't touch the robot much, except when tweaking control algorithms and figuring out where all their speed controlers r gona fit(our electical team gets the left over realestate).

There are kids who work on chairmans award. They spend most of their time compiling media and contacting the community. They explain FIRST to the community and work on publicity and on chairmans(they spent alot of time this year at local elementary schools teaching younger kids and getting them excited about FIRST Lego)

Then there are a few scragler kids who switch between groups.

This organization system coupled with a "this group gets the robot at this time" schedule, gives us only a few hands on the robot at the same time and it works out great.

Unread Where is the video?

There was discussion above of a video.

I followed the link to the Baxter newpaper site, but I could not find a video.

Anybody know where it is and wether it is worth seeing?

Do tell...

Joe J.

Its funny, really.. I went over to Baxter Bomb Squad's website, and saw a link to videos on their main page:

People, these are the types of teasers I like *cough*45*cough*

Love the end effector! Very cool suction cup. Can it also suction down to the plastic? I didn't look close enough to see if the arm had enough range of motion to get all the way down there.

Without a doubt, though - the coolest stacking end effector yet.

The suction cup has been moved/altered. No, that suction cup dosent suck down on the hdpe. For the most part, those last two video's are useless in evaluating our robot as they are very outdated.

Those videos are beautiful. The wings are MUCH more effective than I initially thought they would be, the drive speed is absolutely top-notch, I can only wonder where the suction cup is now, but I'm sure it's new place is even more impressive and even more useful, and if ::EDIT those last two EDIT:: are out-dated videos with which we can't judge your robot by...

You must have a truly great robot in store for the competition...

Great work. Good luck.
