Go to Post We have tried doing the cha-cha slide on the airplane, but that went away very quickly - it seems that the pilots don't like all the movement in the plane. - Carol [more]

This is our first year bot. Some feedback would be appreciated.

looks pretty good for a 1st year bot

it might be a little top-heavy and unstable. I wouldn't be surprised if you flipped with a good hit from the side

Also, is that rope legal? I don't recall any rules against it, I just have never seen it before.

It is actult not at all top heavy. It was a little back heavy, but we fixed that problem. To give some proportions the grabber weights about 25 lb. The chassi/drive train are 105. The center of mass is somewhere smack in the middle of the electronics cage, which isn't too high off the ground. The rope doesn't stretch or store energy, nor does it provide an entanglement hazard. Don't see why it would be illegal.

Ouch... that compressor looks like it will take a beating....

Other than that, very nicely designed robot.
