Unread Tigertrons - 222

Team 222's 2003 Robot

Autonomous Ability

The 2003 Claw has multiple autonomous programs prepared for various scenarios. Using either line tracking or dead-reckoning the Claw can reach the top of the ramp within 8 seconds. The Claw also has several other programs ready to use which will not be discussed at this time.

Human Player Statistics

The Tigertrons have developed a playbook for various human player scenarios. We have several human players who have practiced and memorized each scenario and can complete each of them in less than 10 seconds. We will have the playbook available for other teams prior to the competition for review.

Operator Experience

The Tigertrons have experienced operators who have on average 2 years of actual competition experience. Our operators know the 2003 game extremely well and will be prepared for any given situations and are very open to discuss strategy.

Drive System

The 2003 Claw has the most powerful drive system
ever created by the Tigertrons Team #222.

Using two drill motors, a set of casters powered by a globe motor,
and homemade wheels that grip on any surface; we have created a 2-speed 2WD AND 4WD system. While maneuvering on the flat surface our casters lower leaving the robot in 2-wheel drive high range for maximum control and speed. When on the ramp the casters lift engaging 4-wheel drive and in low range we have maximum traction and torque.

Stacking

The 2003 Claw can easily build a stack of 3 boxes starting at any orientation in less than 30 seconds and can guarantee a stack of at least 2 high in our scoring zone at the end of any given match.

Wings

The 2003 claw has pneumatic powered wings which deploy and span up to 7 1/2 feet wide and can sweep approximately 80% of boxes off the ramp. The wings are independently controlled and can also be used to push multiple boxes from one side of the ramp to the other.

Many more detailed pictures of the robot are available here:

Unread No orange belt???

I can't believe I'm seeing a Tigertron bot with no orange belting. Is it hidden or have you really taken a new direction? Maybe your belting doesn't work as well with bins.

Nice looking bot though.

thanks rick...we know...2 things are a must have on the tigertron machine....orange belting and surgical tubing....I personally like using spring steel....but alas no orange belting or spring steel this year....we did manage to get some surgical tubing on it however....it's being used for a top secret feature of our robot which teams will LOVE.....it's one of those things that everyone will talk about for years to come.....
