As my daughter said, you used to shut up your robot and send it away from home. Now you just suffocate it. - GaryVoshol [more] |

Proof of Serendipity...
As team 25 advisor-
think about the outcome if the blue alliance had let the third robot onto the ramp......
Aaaaargh!!
No regrets but it is proof that it was 65,111, and 469's day! Congratulations!! Enjoy the day. You guys earned it!!
But we'll be back in 2004.... ; )

If you had let them on top of the ramp they still would have won by 25 points, instead of 50.
Ex: Blue team: 90+ 50 (double the additional 25 the red team gets for being on top)=140
Thats great until you add the 25 onto the red team's final points and end up with 165.
Nice match though and the competition was even better. Way to go both alliances.

You still would have lost...
If red had 35...
You would have had 108 Eps. Adding to 12 would have given you 140. Red would then have 165 Eps instead of 140
[edit]
Did it at the same time :-)

What are you talking about?

Neither red robot wanted to be on the ramp!
Our only concern was keeping the score in the second match of each round as low as possible. That, I believe, is what made our alliance so effective. 469 was a great offensive robot to compete in the first match of each round (which we focused on winning by as much as possible) and 65 was amazing at descoring in the second match of every round (where our goal was to have as few points as possible, no matter who won). It truly was our "dream alliance" and it was a privilege working with both of them!
