Team 1089- up and coming rookies
The drivers of team 1089 at the station during a match.
They started the season with no sponsor, no money and a lot of motivation. They raked leaves, washed cars and sold merchandise to get the money to build their machine and BMS covered their registration. Their robot was built in an abandoned bicycle shop with mostly hand tools.
They ended up in the semi-finals at Rutgers, finally succumbing to the #1 alliance.
Not bad for rookies. Watch out for them in 2004.
