This picture cracks me up. It takes place outside the Midwest Regional, on Friday after the Q matches. After struggling though our regional performances and sticking together as a team, I wanted to try and inspire the kids. I found a poem in a John Wooden book that was fairly appropriate, and I read it here. It was really cold and no one really wanted to hear me read this thing, as you can tell by the look on some of the kids face.
But... we won the regional the next day! I think it was the poem that made the difference.
