i'm going to assume that is what you are going to help pull your self up with? Considering the lowering of the gear ratios - you wish to have torque - and lost of it! (from the fp motors and than geared down agian thanks to the 2 sprockets?)

Or is it some sort of anchor for you go pull yourself up onto the platform? Maybe both?

Matt, it looks like there is a second reduction after that. So they have the FP motors in their gearboxes, then (at least) 2 #35 Chain reductions.

This looks like it could be powering the shoulder joint of an arm.
The gearing is about right.

Just a guess.
