Here is our robot from the side view. We are at 122 pounds. We still have some work to do before shipping.

Allison K2 inch chrome alloy. We can successfully manipulate the 2x ball and get on the bar from either platform.

Do you mean Chromoly steel?
If so, those suckers must be pretty heavy.
Looks nice and simple though

bmusser1Not as heavy as you would think. The arms are lighter than a similar aluminum design. The bot weighs in at 122 right now.

Jones571Have you had any issues about flipping your robot with a heavy design like that u seem a little open when u try to cap a goal

Allison KWe did at first but our prospective drivers have gotten quite good at controlling it. And most of the time even when we did tip we could use the arms to right ourselves. Most of our tipping problems were going up the steps, the ball we usually handled just fine.

226,
We're looking forward to seeing you at Great Lakes in two weeks! The bot looks great. As always - nice looking track system. What else are you going to use the left over 8 pounds for?
Good luck from 302!

bmusser1Thanks for the compliments. Can't wait to see your bot this year. As far as weight, we have some guarding that will cover the electronics and the tracks and possibly some other thins if we have anything left after that.
