opps12All people know from the midwest regional, and soon everyone in atlanta, will DEFINATELY know when 269 is in a match, our noisemakers are so loud that our team mates in the pits could actually hear them. Hehe

I'll be envying all of that kind of spirit and "stuff" going on in Atlanta with your team. I don't want to miss the spectacle or the sound. Good luck!

westfaliaperhaps the rule on noisemakers is there to scare the majority of the FIRST community... When I take my djembe (african drum) to competition I never receive any kind of warning about it. But, once again, it isn't like I've got 25 other members of my team playing their own in unison! (That would be pretty cool though)

KathieKIn NJ the rules were enforced regarding no noisemakers and no food brought into the venue. At UTC I don't believe either was enforced.
We didn't bring our noisemakers to NJ due to the rule in the manual. Not sure we're bringing them to Atlanta because it's difficult to bring them to Atlanta.

opps12i believe they are prohibited so we use them in moderation. Usually we just use them during our matches so everybody doesn't want to kill us

If you can't bring the noisemakers bring that pool table instead.
I didn't see anything in the manual banning ping-pong or pool.

) but we at MOE are always finding new ways to express our enthusiasm. If you have attended any of the competitions we were at, you probably heard our new noisemaker ominously rumbling in the crowd of green. They are the Wobblies and we will continue to use them even if we are allowed to bring moestix next year (we hope they will be allowed. Viva les MOEstix!!) also, our spirit award is now a pair of automated, clapping stix. No matter what obstacles we encounter, MOE will show its spirit in the idea of spreading the message of FIRST.
