MelYay! It's our wonderful, beautiful, strong, faithful robot. I'm suffering from withdrawl. Only days... on to Atlanta. We're going!

codeoftherobotI must say I was very impressed when I watched your team on the webcast for Pacific Northwest Regional. You controlled your robot extremely well and it hung easily. Good job!

Agreed. I was definitely on the scalawag band wagon. Great robot.

GrommitI'm curious: what is the seat motor on the arm being used to power?
How do you turn the arm? Pneumatics or a motor, and which? Do you hang with wires and a winch, or do you flex your arm to hand?
Our team found that it needed to gear (with pulleys) a mechanical advantage of 3:1 for the Fisher-Price motor to winch up the robot successfully.

Is hanging pretty much the only thing you guys did?
How'd you guys do in your regional?
(No offense to any girls for the "guys"
)
