Now who would do such a thing? I think it was that Tiny Michael guy...
Edit:

John,
It goes more like this ....

Besides, something like "I am Andy Baker" just doesn't have the same ring to it (no offense, Andy!)

John, you brought it upon yourself. Now you've assended with Andy Baker and Dave Lavery to the all important 'demi-god'* position.
*demi-god position includes Krispy Kream donuts, cooking lessions, and being made fun of on the CD boards through signatures, custom titles, and buttons.

IMDWalrusCan anyone explain what exactly brought this one on?
If the reason is a good one, I'll probably change my title too - being John seems like it'd be a lot of fun.
30-03-2004 15:17
MissInformation
You all should be ashamed, picking on John like that. Just because he's well known, and beloved by all (well, I'm sure not "all", but close enough) it doesn't give you the right to harrass him like that... especially not after all he does for FIRST and... and... ah, forget it, I need to get back to photoshopping that picture of Dave...
Sorry, John, that's just the price of fame (and infamy too).

I'd love to see the current list, but I'm not intelligent enough to know how...

It could mean "major pain" or "bringing about major pain"....as in...
"Amanda Morrison V-Neuned David Kelly at Nationals"
"Wow, fixing that gearbox was a V-Neun!"
or...
"Man, that JVN...he's such a V-Neun"

You know, it is pretty cool to see people looking up to a mentor like John. This is what FIRST is all about. Dean and Woodie's premise behind FIRST was to bring attention to people who are "heros" in the world of science. Well, it appears that John is a hero to many... even Mr. Lavery!
FIRST is succeeding, and here is concrete evidence.
Do you think I am joking?

Paul CopioliV-Neun: a verb meaning to make a straightforward entity seem mysterious.
Used in a sentence:
I think instead of showing my hyphenated name, I'll just V-Neun it to use the initial of one last name and the entire other last name, that way people will always ask me what the "V" stands for.

I hope JVN doesn't get too emotional about all this attention. When we were traveling the jungles of Borneo together and he saved my life, nearly sacrificing his own, he said "Gary, if we get out of this alive, we're going to mentor FIRST teams and just fade into the background - no more excitement for me". <sob> I love you man - you're an inspiration to us all. I'm proud to have a twin half-brother like you. I can't change my profile to add your name, it would just.......be........too.....<sob>......painful for me.

Paul CopioliCan the same word have two entirely different meanings?
Here we go:
V-Neun: a verb meaning to complicate something simple. Also, a verb meaning to simplify something complicated.
or, better yet:
V-Neun: a verb meaning to simplfy something complicated
Vielkind-N: a verb meaning to complicate something simple.
I have decided that I will now call you John Vielkind-N!!
