Just wanted to post a final pic of the bot since we never did. Unfortunatley he won't be at nationals but we're hoping to make an invitational this summer. Good luck to everyone going to ATL.

Wow, that's a great robot.
I love the arm. What are you using to power the arms joints (which motors and what gear ratios)? Very simple gripper design too.

arm specs
thanks for the praise.
we used one fisher price motor per joint for the arm. they're running about a 1500:1 ratio from the pinion. the turret is operated with two globe motors. the ratio on the turret is 18:1.
