This is the University of Rhode Island MiniBaja for the 2004 competition. It will be in Montreal for the competition this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Out of the entire time that I have been at URI, this is by far the best entry I have seen. Yeah, that is chrome baby! Good luck to all the MiniBaja teams this weekend!

Does it hang? It looks like it can get up the 6" step pretty easily.
Hey, this is a good-lookin' buggy. Gotta love the chrome. Good luck!

Uhh.. is that a CIM I see strapped under the 5 in the front section? It looks like it's driving a worm gear?
Very, very nice
The chrome is stylin'.

That black cylinder in the front looks strangely like a Chiaphua motor.
Really nice looking bug, nice suspension.

Ken PattonAwesome looking machine, Rob.
I did SAE mini-baja way back in 1985 at Michigan Tech - looks like the machines have gotten a little more polished since then

JVNClarkson has a baja team as part of the SPEED program.
Good bunch of guys. Fun to work and play with.
We used the expansion foam from their flotation to make our "ramp dominating wings" last year. This year their former team leader was one of our chief designers (as part of his senior integrated design course). We had a lot of fun, and the FIRST-Baja partnership at Clarkson grows every year.
We've been watching them play with the new car all year, (They have a work area right near ours) and it looks pretty good. I can't wait to hear how they do. (Let's go tech!)
Baja-folks, is good people.

ick up jaw: I thought that was a bot (the CIM in front)
But in perspective, it reminds me of a wheel-chair motor I saw. (think big CIM)
