Team 30 Mentor Thank You Party

Team 30 recently held a party to thank all our mentors for sacrificing their sanity for another year.

Top image: Our robot on display next to the presentation table, which displayed the gifts (suncatchers with our team logo) and thank you cards. The white board was decorated with our team name, number, and the names of the team members who helped make the event possible.

Bottom image: The good part: the food. The decorations you see here were made from (brace yourselves) part of Kristi's prom dress, decorated with our combined collection of FIRST team pins that we've collected from all you guys. =)

good to see someone else made good use of all the poof from their prom dress, i had 10 (that's right, 10) layers on mine, and i took off the bottom layer for use in scrapbooking. :-p

an another note, i love season wrap up parties, finally showing all the mentors that all their work was appreciated.

She got funny looks whenever she mentioned the prom dress thing, so she got into the habit of prefacing it with the explanation: her date stepped on her gown and tore the outer skirt, so instead of throwing it out like a normal person, she did what any other FIRSTer would do- she used an object for something drastically different from its intended use.

He kept stepping on my dress at prom, and it too was torn in that way.
