M. Hickeni dont know what its for, but i must compliment swampthings taste in soda

Max LobovskyI got it! I got it! They shakeup a bottle before a match then connect it to their pneumatics system for a boost in pressure. It also gives the exhaust from the cylinders a pleasant orange smell.

meiv4its for when your soda goes flat so you can recarbonate it! Brilliant!

pneumatic accumulators on a budget I guess...

want2modmygti dont know what to say. interesting pneumatiks i guess, but i hope you have a cover for all those loose wires.

Behind the soda can there is a piston for the shifting mechanisim, i would think. However, are you using sunkist to keep the motors cold?
Either way it looks cool.

Is it just me...or does that can look like its blocking something...because they would've had to clean the can somehow, and you cant thread such thin aluminum...so obviously they are covering up something....
speaking of sunkist....*pop......guuuuuuulp....AAHHH!*

Is the shifter for the AM transmission on the side the sunkist is blocking? If so then thats what it is blocking....I think....
07-02-2005 13:40
tiffany34990now are you people blocking gears or something...hmmm...soda is yeah great touch guys--no not using like a green can
mountain dew or something like that. nice wiring up job. so just tell us already what you guys are doing..i'm getting confused with this teaser now tytus. so you all are using pneumatics to achieve what..hmm I'm gonna go think more back to my photo work

...that's just a clever sleeve covering their small nitrous bottle

Alex GolecWell the sunkist is hiding up the transmission (my assumption due to the chains running out of the plates) and are being used to hide up the secret micro-EMP device that their robot will on any camera that tries to take a picture of it.
The pneumatic:hinged-pipe combo looks like a stabilizing leg that will be used in case your robot starts to lose control of the pop can.
Overall, a nice picture.

shifter is on the inside, sorry not hiding anything
07-02-2005 17:31

[527]philhmm, i think swamp thing is just keeping a nice cold sunkist in case it gets thirsty during a match, i know I'd keep one with me when i operate my bot if it's legal

Fill the sunkist can with pneumatic tubing and use that to store air. Its actually a possible way to store air, just be coiling up a lot of tubing. Give it a try some day, its basically the same weight as the accumulator cans for how much air you can store, maybe lighter.
07-02-2005 22:09
cadman2k5I believe that Orange Soda can violates an OSHA regulation...

08-02-2005 20:59
Stephen Kowskiok so sunkist became a sponsor, but they just ran out of stickers?
