179 Swampthing 2k5

Thought I'd post a picture before she gets trashed. This may be her only glamour shot before Tytus bashes it into pieces. I know many will howl about the green, but the black covers it very well, and it's not the tetra green, it's much brighter. Arm remains top secret.

Darnit, 179! All the drooling caused by your sweet robot created a puddle on my laptop's keyboard!

Can't wait to see it at Palmetto.

That is absolutely amazing!!

I thought our robot looked good (this is the first year we have painted the chassis), but when I look at that I feel totally humbled ...and inspired to take my team's artwork to the next level.

Is it just me or does it look like the black portion of the chassis held on by zipties?

I also like the outrigger setup and the unique positioning of the wheels (the middle wheel is farther out than the others).

Excellent job! I love it!

Wow, that is amazing.

My only question, are your middle wheels lowered at all?

Amazing paint job and cutouts in the black shell. Great job guys.

What are those pneumatic braces for? Are you planning on planting yourself by the middle goals and defending / capping ? Anyhow, sweet robot.

I would guess her name is Swampthing 2k5 ...

Swampthing always came up with an effecting robot for the competition... in my opinion, one of the best organized team in Florida.

If I go to the scrimmage, I will get to see that beast... cant wait.

*chuckles* I'd say our team have spent more time getting our robot actually built than decorating it, so far anyway. Kudos to you guys for coming up with a design like that. Very nice, from what I can see. Will look forward to spotting you at the competition in March.

I am assuming they have multiple purposes like the one you mentioned above. One is to knock off the hanging tetra at the beginning of the match, to interact with the goals, and to prevent other teams from getting near there robot. If that last one is the case, then those arms better be strong.

The robot is looking nice. I cannot wait to see it (hopefully this Saturday).
