Hmmm, this is a tough one. It is my guess that it is a top view, looking down a telescoping arm of some sort. It looks there is a pulley system used to pull up the inner section.

The best part about this mast is that when we turn it horizontally, it doesn't bend. It gets even stronger as it gets higher!
