Whoops... What happens when you change 6v FP to 12v FP?

What happens when you change the 6 volt FisherPrice motors to the 12 volt FisherPrice motors?

You get this....

How exactly was this damage caused. Knowing this would be helpful because my team has just changed a device to work with the 12v FPs and we have not tested yet.

This damage was caused will picking up tetras. The spectra cable(string like cable not stranded steel) we have crushed it.
