For a 2nd year team, that robot looks nice... sweet paintjob.

see you guys at UCF... good luck.

It is great to see another sophomore team with so many good ideas packed into one robot.

1. You used your arm extension motor as a counterweight. Cool.
2. Your four-wheel drive system is ingenious.
3. It lifts really high for such a short robot (did you notice that it looks like a trebuchet?)
4. Your CG looks really low.
5. You took the time to make it pretty.

Nice job! I only have two questions. First, do you have trouble with friction within your arm, or did you find a way to put bearings or UHMW or something inside? Please tell me you aren't coming to Portland.

Congratulations.

They have Juniors on their team and its a tread system, not 4 wheel drive.

It's the team's second year -- therefore a sophomore team. You say potato, I say potato.

I saw that the rubber belt runs along the ground, but since I couldn't see any bogies supporting the tread, and the end wheels both touch the ground, I thought it looked more like a four-wheel-drive-with-a-big-belt system than a real tank track. Since all I've seen are the pretty low-res pics in the gallery, I could be very much mistaken.

AS for the friction in the arm, theres very little of it. And the weight is a a lovely 101 pounds of pure muscle. Thanks for the compliments and most of what u guys said is correct

I am KoZa hear me roar

probably one of the prettiest robots to look at so far. I love the paint job, i wish we had time for that. But your robot looks like it can win. Nice engineering job on it.

Looks a little familiar . Great job!
At that weight you have plenty of room for improvements and get even better. I think we better watch out for 1251.

Thanks Arefin

By the way i did cap daniel after the picture was taken.
All the pink stuff is UHMW and the arm has stoppers in it made out of plastinc so there isn't a whole lot of friction.
Right now the weight is 101but we'll be adding some bumpers and that are kind of heavy for two reasons.

1) We want to use max weight for more traction
2) Take care of the paint job.

Dave

WAY nifty on the belt drive system also. Good thinking.
