179 Swampthing

Here's the final night before shipping. Hmm, the tetra handler didn't make the shot.... Oh well, we broke her in good. She capped 12 in a 2 minute practice! This design changed at least 15 times!

OK OK, I wanted to wait till the fix it window past. But if you want to see the evolution of our capping designs go to our website (see link below) and go to the galleryvideo section and click on the 179 capping evolution link. You'll see an Ode' to all the arms that came and went, God bless their little souls... But the flinging was the original. I wonder if anyone else out there will do it....

It's definitely not as high end as Pink. Although inspired by there quality we always try a little harder. I don't see how you pull off something better than 233 though. I'll never forget my first Roccobot experience The UCF regional has always wowed me with teams like Pink and Heatwave. Also Metal in Motion is back in town! There's so many great teams, I can't wait to see. It's going to be another great season.

Anyhow it's wearing some battle scars and those in my book are perfectly acceptable...

I have to say, I really like the finish of your robot for this year. I cannot wait to see it at UCF.

Swampdude, thanks for the kind comments about our team.

As for battle scars, I view them like Han Solo does in Star Wars, "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid."

i love the paintjob! And the robot as well, lol. We were supposed to go to the scrimage that you guys were holding last Saturday, but our bot had a little..."accident" in Thursday building, and it wasn't fixed until Sunday morning...but yeah. See you guys at competition!
