Go to Post So why are we trying to go to Mars? It's because it's bigger, better, and bolder. Doing what nearly no other team can do, and defying all those who say it can't be done. That reward is a lot more than 9 points. - Mike [more]

I love the circular design. We thought of making a circular chassis because it makes it difficult for other teams to push you, but didn't for some reason. What kind of drivetrain do you have in there?

Nice Claw. Many of the pictures I have seen are just spears. Your team, like us has a hook. How do those sides fall down when the match begins? Are they pneumatic or when you move do the just fall?

No, you can tell that from the picture.
It looks like a two wheel drive system. but I can't really tell.

Thanks for all the comments!!!!
we have a two wheel drive system with rollers as stabilizers. The sides start up and lock into the down position when they close. We use a bungy tensioner to close. We used a slide lock to prevent them opening during match. We did have a 4 point claw but changed to a two point for simplicity.
GOOD LUCK to ALL and thanks!!!!!!
