Thanks, the crate was painted by one of our members who is an artist.

How long is that arm, cause it looks like if you added any weight that far out your robot would go tip (though, the perspective of the shot is probably just screwing with my head).

Very nice, clean robot though, I like it. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about driving against you guys again this year, cause last year was enough of a challenge, this year I'd be scared to see that giant arm coming flying at me.

The arm reaches about 12 feet I think. Yeah its pretty heavy...but the gearbox handles it and all of our weight is in the back 3/4" off the ground so we don't tip.

Yeah it has nice lines, doesn't it?

Going to come back from college to watch LI at all? Just so you can see our massive arm in action...

Well, I'll be there, partially because 190 is going (and I'm technically on 190, though I sorta took a year off), partially because my parents said, "hey, another reason for you to come home so we can see you and meet some of your friends!", and partially to see how 810 does with almost all of it's founding members gone (there's about three or four team members who have been on 810 for all four years now).

I'll make sure to stop by your pits though, cause that arm is very cool looking.

Awesome, can't wait to see you.

Where is 190 from? I don't recognize the number...

The crate looks amazing! It's nice to see your team is so well- rounded.

190 is the WPI team out of Worcester, Mass.

Also, very nice robot this year guys. Good Luck in LI wish we could have gone this year, but it filled up before we could register. Hopefully we will see you in Atlanta.

Haha, as Jon said, 190 is WPI's team (well, technically it's Mass. Academy/WPI). I kinda slacked off this year cause I wasn't sure how much work college would be (Differential Equations, definitely some evil, evil stuff), but one thing I was half working on was some ideas to get people to associate our team number with the team name. Guess it didn't work too well :-p.

Anyways, good luck on getting everything ready for SBPLI, hope you guys can get that arm to make some fun stuff happen on the field.

That is very pretty (the crate and the bot ). It looks like your entire arm system can swivel like a turret, or am I crazy?

Yeah, I wish I could do that.

Nope, no turret only linear motion up and down, plus extension.
