Dan-oAmazing bot. I can't even imagine what havoc you will create with that machine. It seems that the green on the bot is different from that on the vision tetras, so i don't see that causing a problem. I'm glad that you are staying in green. I am eagerly awaiting more details, and video of matches. Congrats on a job well done, and good luck in competitions.
! ! !!! !!!! GO MOE!

Tank treads? Multipule tetra storage? Vistion tetra ontop? Oh-la-la. I can't wait to see this one. Lets hope we have another "Where in the World is MOEbius?" Contest!

Rick Tyler said recently that it was a waste of bandwidth to say things like "C00l dude i rilly rilly like it!!!1"
All I have to say however is:
That. Robot. Is. Awesome.

Looks like another successful green machine! One question though, are you guys planning on protecting your treads with any kind of cover plate?

That's a nice looking package, Moesters! But I have two questions:
Is that a Gatorade dispenser on the tower?
The center of gravity looks pretty low, so how are you going to tip it over?
Can't wait to play with you in Philly,
Pete

very impressive: nice arm design, nice color and niiice name. looking forward to being aquainted with moebius @ Philly.
28-02-2005 20:28
jimfortytwoI just wanted to say your swiveling arm loader mechanism is brilliant, if it does what I assume it does. That looks like the most effective hoarding robot I've seen yet. I would love to see some video.

this looks like one vicious offensive robot. you could have the game won and that thing can take it away in no time at all. i can hear the screams now... "COVER MOE!!!! MOE IS ABOUT TO TAKE THE CORNER!!!! BLOCK HIM!!!! BLOCK HIM!!!!! HE'S GOING FOR THE OTHER CORNER, GET OVER THERE!!!!!"
28-02-2005 21:24
Mr.GVery nice and simple design. Look like you guys covered all the ways to get tetras and score.
Good Luck.

They won't be coming off *crosses fingers* they're specially designed so they wont......not that that means much. But yes, we have extras.........supposedly.........somewhere.

MARKNow that MOEbius's specs are posted on the Miracle Workerz (award winning) website, what do you think? Will it do well in competition?

MOEbius now sports, in addition to the one runner in the pic, three more runners on each side (that’s six new ones and eight total,) metal guards above the treads, and a plastic shield covering the whole thing. Early in the practice rounds they were knocked off and after some modification we thought we were fine, only to be wrong and have the treads knocked off again. Last time I posted I made a cocky comment about the treads not coming off...yea, I was definitely wrong, but now I say with confidence that they are indeed much harder to de-tread then once they were.
17-03-2005 11:01
J_HorningMoebius was the most awesome robot at the Pittsburgh Regionals! No one could match their autonomous! They even kept stacking when in the end zone at the end of the match!!!
We were so excited to be chosen as their defense in the tournament. Beware the refs. I think Pittsburgh refs are not used to as tough a game as is played in other venues. We expect lots rougher play in Cleveland.
Good luck to Moe in Philly!!!!
