Winner of both the Xerox Creativity award at GLR and the General Motors Industrial Design award at Buckeye, this capping technique involves us hooking onto the tetra on our back and flipping it over and onto the goal then unhooking and driving away.

279 received a well-deserved General Motors Industrial Design Award for this effective and intimidating machine. The volunteers, inspectors, judges, VIPs, and competitors that I heard from at Buckeye all had basically the same comment when they saw this 'bot in action: what a magnificent design!

Ali AhmedI was watching the Midwest webcast and your robot is, by far, one of the best designs I have ever seen.

279 has made a couple of the absolutly coolest robots I have seen in FIRST the last couple of years ( I loved their clamshell bar climber last year as well and they made the play of the year last year climbing on the bar in spite of 378 sitting on top of them and pulling them off the bar to the floor. The place went nuts).
