Robotics Team

Although "officially" we are listed as a club it seems even the school thinks of us as a team. One of the school Assistant Principals sent me this picture.

Wow, that's great recognition! Not only from your school, but your whole community will see that and praise you guys now. Congrats on winning Chairman's and for getting your deserved recognition!

believe it or not, we don't get that kind of recognition very often so it is awesome to see when it does happen.

Our team won the NJ Chairmans award this year. On the highway into our town (206), there is a big billboard usually showing some kind of theme depending on the season ( ie: cold hands, warm hearts in Mount Olive ). For this summer it will read "Welcome to Mount Olive...Home of the 2005 FIRST Robotics NJ Chairmans Award Winners- Team 11"

Congratulations on your winning Chairman's entry!

But wait a minute....
There's something a little different about that picture...
Maybe it's the fact that the letters don't line up with the boxes

Should I suggest Photoshop?
Or is it churchsigngenerator.com ?

Either way, congratulations on winning!

I can say it is defiantly not a manufactured sign. It is really the sign that is front of our school. This actually is not the first time we have been featured on the school sign. I think two years ago the school had us up when we won the J&J but then a freak windstorm came and destroyed the entire sign just days after we were put up on it.

Despite what Starke said we do get some nice recognition from our school. They appreciate all of the good things we do for the school & community.

Also thanks to everyone else for all of the nice comments.

Congratulations on an award you guys truly deserve. After 639 won FLR, 340 contacted us offering to help fund our trip to Championships. Although we couldn't accept this generous offer, 340's immediate and compassionate response was overwhelming.

Remember, this year, there are 340 teams going to Atlanta Good luck, 340.

Whoa, that's really cool! I wish I could've gone to a school that had a food item in the name... You know, something like "Albuquerque - Reese's Peanut Butter Cup High School" or something. That would've totally rocked!

Oh, btw, congrats on the win!

Dave

Yeah but it's pronounced Chi-lie not Chili. Rochester is weird like that.

That is pretty cool. When we do stuff we get on the morning announcements and the school newspaper and sometimes the weekly TV show. But we have only made The Big Board (the name of our board) once because the basketball team is always on it during FIRST season. Congratulations guys. Hope to see you guys in Atlanta next year.

Really cool. Nice recognition!
We got onto our school's homepage after Annapolis, and in the school paper (although it was the worst article ever conceived by man, false info, spelling errors, bad grammar...) ,as well as 2 Herndon community papers.
