Go to Post I've ridden the real Segway many times and I think it is a truly remarkable machine and worth every cent (if you have enough cents to spend on it). - sanddrag [more]

The LEGO Dome!

The LEGO Dome!

The competition venue, reconstructed with lots of tiny plastic blocks. The model was very elaborate - you could see the dome's interior, or at least in part, and the trains at the MARTA station circled the tracks.

This was set up in the lobby of the pit building. There were other models in the area, including a moon base with a Krispy Kreme and a Waffle House, but this was the largest and most elaborate of the models.

And for the record, I'm partially responsible for the LEGO man that is perched on the top of the Dome...

OMG!!! Dream job project sitting right there in the lobby, and I miss it..

Sorry, I just get excited at the sight of awesome LEGO sculptures. I admit it, I'm a LEGO Maniac for life.

Anyways, does anyone else have any more pics of the other LEGO displays from Atlanta that you mentioned??

Thanks,
Elgin
<Trying to make it to a little town called Manchester, NH to see the LEGO Millyard project, and I guess FIRST H.Q. too. >

WOW!!! this is one of the coolest things i ever seen with legos! this is really great! it's amazing what you can do w/ legos it really is

how long did it to take for this to be built... lego has a competition for designing things...it would be cool if this won..

I actually do have some more pictures, which I could upload in a few days or so. The Krispy Kreme and Waffle House were nice touches.
