MOE 365 held our annual wrap-up picnic this past Sunday. The weather help up (it usually rains). We used one of our last MOE Personal Recognition buttons for the sacrifice this animal made to our team. All of us (who eat pork) really appreciated it!

Mr MOEAs the photo caption states, this fine fellow was the latest recipient of a MOE 365 Personal Recognition Award Button. We also finally have a list of the recipients from the Championship Event up on our website.

Also, we had a blast at our wrap-up picnic this past Sunday. Fun awards, great food, a mean adults vs students kickball game, volleyball, horseshoes, and lots of people getting wet.
If your team has had a season wrap event, please share! We would love to hear how it went.

It is great to see this level of commitment from a pig. The sacrifice it shows for your team party is inspirational. He (she?) definitely deserves your highly-regarded pin.

I know a good pig when I see one.

I am so humbled by this act. As a recipient of the award, I am now humbled and feel unworthy as I see the sacrifice that is made by another recipient. I am so unworthy.

tiffany34990this is really funny!! good one guys... MOE is great.. i still love this idea...

KathieKhmmm, as a recipient of the award, I guess I've now been equated with a roasted pig.
Not sure how that makes me feel.
RAGE held our annual banquet last week where we got to make fun of the mentors and the graduating seniors, and where I tried to keep the weeping to a minimum. And I received several nice departure gifts from the team (OK, where's that box of kleenex again?)... And we will be having a team picnic at one of our sponsors' house in June. I think it calls for a mentor/student water balloon toss...

AlainaOkay, as much as I like meat, I would never just cut off slabs from a whole carcas and eat it. I prefer them pre-butchered ...
I hope there's no defenseless vegetarians about to open this thread!

Keith ChesterExactly why I LOVE vegetarians.
...more meat for us.

SuperJakeThis is the kind of stuff that shows people outside of our team just how crazy we really are. I me who dresses up a roasted pig before tearing it to shreds and eating it!? Honestly! Perhaps an even stranger tidbit of info is that all of this decoration was done by the MOE Boosterz -- PARENTS of the students.
On a slightly more serious note - the fun antics of our mentors, parents, and alumni is what keeps me coming back every year. A good time is had by all when the whole MOE crew gets together. Building a robot is one thing - but the fun I have had with my mentors, parents, and other students on team outings is something I cherish.

I've been to several pig roasts and I've always enjoyed them.
There's a difference in fresh meat that hasn't been sitting in a freezer for days or weeks before you wind up cooking it as you'll get with store bought. Same reason I stop at local farms at times for eggs, fruits and vegetables. It also helps support your local farms.
And remember, never complain about farmers with your mouth full.

Looks like my dad's dog... Pointy snout and all. That doesn't look like any of the pigs we used to roast at our house in "the pit".

so now we know why MOE came to PARC! That pig farmer called and reported a swarm of green running through his fields! We'll try and keep it a secret though!
