I knew IT!!!. i have been telling you guys ever since 2003. "Dave Can we This? Can we have that?" how else could this picture be so magical?

billbo911Dear Santa Lavery,
All I want for Christmas is..........a drill press, a vertical mill, a lathe and oh, oh, a full corporate sponsorship for our team!
But Santa, if you can't provide that, it will be O.K.
The joy of the Christmas season is already more than enough!

For christmas I want... something special. Since you are Santa you know what every little boy and girl wants.
Also notice that I didnt make the naughty list once this year
You might want to check the list three times this year thought, twice isnt always enough.

KathieKDear Santa Lavery,
I've tried really hard to be a good girl lately and I only opened a few CD cans of worms this year.
For Christmas I would like someone to let me drive a robot... just once. And someone else to explain in NEM terms how it works... And a Segway would be nice, too. And a Vex kit. And more than anything else I wish for more time, Santa.
I promise to leave you some Krispy Kremes and Mountain Dew, and while you're at my house you can recharge your segway-sleigh batteries to continue your trip. Please come to my house, Santa!

Here is my Christmas List,

Just out of curiosity, what kind of vehicle does Santa Lavery use? I mean, does he hitch up 8 reindeer to one Segway or something?
I'm really at a loss on this one...

Of coarse Lavery Claus has his NASA issued sleigh.....
Some how it just makes more sense then magical reindeer.
P.S. Does this put me on the bad list?

So, Santa Lavery Claus....you promised me a free ride on a rover...so wheres it at????
OK, ok the 2006 game will have to do...just a few days after Christmas.
17-12-2005 19:25
Rich Kressly
Lavery Claus ...
I have a long list, but what I want most is the inspiration and energy to do this thing we do for another year. And, if you can fit more in that sleigh, I'll take a kitchen mixer, a vehicle that doesn't exceed the speed limit, a big block of polyurethane, and some simple/unchanging FRC rules.

Lavery Claus...
I would like world peace, and the end of hunger... So... How about 20 pounds of flour, 20 pound of rice, 20 gallon of clean water, 20 pounds of roast beef, 20 pounds of chicken, and 20 prounds fresh fruit and vegetable for everyone on earth? And I want drinking fountains with hot tomato soup. Throw in some bread too. Not white bread, I want multi-grain.
As for world peace... How about 20 pounds of crossword puzzles/riddles/math problems/ancient secrets to keep everyone busy?
Thanks in advance...

Dear Lavery Claus,
My wish list for this year is a pony and a princess tiara... hehe, just joking... My real wish list is to get through robotics season and not fail macroeconomics in the process.
Team wish list is a tool box and some tools. Because they're cool. And pretty.
I've been a pretty good girl this year...

Yeah Big Mike, you got me at the webhug, due to the special request of one of Santa Lavery's brightest reindeer.*
But Santa Lavery, all i want for Christmas is a new Computer and a sleigh full of fun VEX parts. Oh, and a trip to IRI, minus the "Brandom Marcus is my hero" sign.

sciguy125Most of you are engineers, you should know better than this. If Lavery Claus existed, he'd be dead by now. Actually, his segway might protect him. There's no way he could hold on with 17,000 g's. He might be better off than Santa.

Santa Lavery should have been a little more generous with the Climate orbiter team...They had the concept but the math escaped them a bit. I guess something about consuming a google of Krispy Kremes in a hundreth of a second to create a tear in space time threw them off...

At the risk of being the downer, perhaps Lavery Claus just visited the Gulf Coast region?

If Lavery Claus is really real, I know which one of his lists my name is on, and I'll give you a hint, it isn't the one marked "Nice."

Dear Lavery Clause,
I've been a very good girl this year, so for Kickoff-Day I want a:
- hoola hoop
- doll
- ipod
- wills wing sport 2 '135
- FIRST field with six-sigma control system reliability
- photoshopped picture of you as an umpa-loompa

Dear Lavery Claus,
i woudlnt put it past myself to ask anything of you (except perhaps a good word or two put in when i apply for a job at NASA in a few years...), but instead i would prefer to get you a gift... a big THANK YOU for everything you've done.
you're a great sport for putting up with so many FIRSTers poking fun at you and harassing you for hints... and you deserve a break! how do some Krispy Kremes sound? and a pink lei? i could give you some pink indian markings on your face! or perhaps you'd like a new Hawaiian shirt?
Happy Holidays!

Dear Lavery Claus,
I'd like it if you could deliver people in areas hit hard with disaster necessary supplies to keep on going on. How about one of those water filtering drinking straws for everyone as well.
Thanks a bunch,
Ian

six-sigma? I always thought it was sigma-six...
but yes, that is a brilliant request :-)
Oh, and I want lots, and lots of flat ground, covered with carpet, like last year. No funny business with elevation change. Why? No reason, no reason...

| Six Sigma at many organizations simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection. Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving towards six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process -- from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service. |

Lavery Claus, I have just one humble thing to ask. Last year, after the Genesis Capsule went down, I made a horrible mistake saying it was another failure by NASA. I, a programmer for Team 66, should have known how much work is put into such an excellent endevour, and at that time, my liberal side got too much of me. I 100% regret it.
First, I thank you for giving me negitive rep. That woke me up.
Second, would you please grant forgiveness and find a way to write it off the archives of the Chief Delphi forums. Please Lavery Claus, please.
That is all, and Merry Christmas.

All I want for [del]christmas[/del] [ins]kick-off[/ins] is for Microchip to give up on MPLAB and go with Eclipse instead.
The more I try to make it work better, the worse it gets.

I know it's after Christmas but I think I would like to see Lavery Claus bring FIRST to all the places that are currently robot less. Maybe a European regional if it's not too much?
Merry whateverholidayyoucelebrate and a happy New Year (note: if your Chinese happy January 29!)
