This is my unofficial programming teaser. Guess what it is now, find out what it actually is at competition!

It does look a bit like the Mini-RC (the one before Vex came into play), but that one had a serial port.
My first instinct is to say gumstix, given that people have interfaced them with IFI controllers before, but it looks a little big for that.

Well, it appears to be some sort of co-processor. I assume that the black bar is the part no. censored out?

Hint: Only one sensor will be hooked up to it, yet it uses the board's full processing capabilities. ![]() |

probably is a dedicated camera computer solely for the purpose of determining launch angle/direction/velocity....are you planning on shooting while moving?

fowlermPlanning on running uClinux are we? Looks like an ADI BF533 STAMP board.
I prefer Windows CE.

Just a wild guess, but might it be anything along the lines of a closed loop feedback controller for quadrature encoders?

stevegWell, you can clearly see the BlackFin logo, so It's most likely doing DSP from the camera. The question is, what are you doing with that kind of horsepower?
EDIT:
And, I agree with one of the previous posters. That's almost definitely the ADSP-BF533 evaluation board.
