For the drivers to practice, we needed to make it stable; so we mounted two batteries to keep it balanced.
Its a simple and easy drive system. This year we decided not to waste a lot of time on working on complicated design. We rather decided to spend more time on the Body part, because it was sort of complicated. Pictures of the body will be up soon.

nice drive. I shoould've used that vertical, two-sided electronic board design...our wires were kinda crowded with limited space on the chassis

just a question. Have you had problems with your chain slipping? The back wheels look like they only have about 70 degrees of chain contact with the sprocket. If you haven't i would try testing your bot under load (pushing against a wall or another heavy object and see if they skip. From experience i always aim for a full 180 degrees but never less then 90.

I hope you've got the vertical board and all wires tied down solid... Any bit of movement and it will turn into a mess after just a few matches. Case in point? Last year's robot. (after about 10 matches across two comps)

But you also seem to have wired it cleaner, so you might not risk the same problem.

Looks like they've go a lot of cables coming out/in of the RC, and it seems that that ATC panel is full of breakers, if not wires. Interesting.

Actually it works pretty good. We tested it on the ramp, and it goes up pretty easily. We came up with ths triangle chain design. The back wheel sprocekt is firmly in contact with the chain just form the bottom. So it don't allow the chain to slide. The top part is in contact too, but its just there.

Also our electrical board is mounted temp. It will eventually be mounted rigth behind our shooter. The shooter is goin to go right on top on our wheels. i'll post the pics soon.
