This is the satellite field west of Barrow airport. Note how low all the dishes are pointed. Remember that geosynchronous satellites are 32,000 miles above the equator. The Beaufort Sea is behind the dishes. Please also note the lack of trees. Barrow is well above the Attic Circle and everything for miles is tundra, permafrost is only 12-18 inches down in the middle of summer, hence all the puddles around.
