This is a close-up of our robot's ball herder. It uses surgical tubing stretched between two "drums" wrapped with athletic tape, and the balls are sandwiched between that and a piece of lexan on the other side. The zip-ties at the top also spin, giving the balls a little extra push when they reach the top. Two pneumatics on the side allow the operator to extend and retract the system at their will.
