If she can't beat Lavery in a donut eating contest, maybe she can beat Woodie at arm wrestling.

Ricky Q.Too bad I know how this one ends.
And too bad I was not there with a video camera.

N.E.R.D.s beating F.A.R.M.E.R.s at arm wrestling? Oh, the humanity!
Amanda, your penance is to go put up 1,000 bales of hay before the rematch.

I can almost hear the "Eye of the Tiger" playing and see Amanda pumping iron and running up and down flights of stairs and teaching a punching bag that it better never look at her that way again and... wait a minute... no, never mind... someone's watching Rocky in the other room.
You have a way of picking these challenges you're never going to win, but I like that about you, you're not afraid to take on the impossible. And who knows, maybe one day you'll prove the impossible possible!

Oh Amanda! Can't you do something easier like, I don't know, a grammar editing contest?

Amanda's tatoo might have made the difference: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/18342
Or maybe she was tired from doing the YMCA: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=39114

Should somebody tell Amanda that Woodie had already seen the donut eating debacle with Dave months before this match-up? After seeing what a weak opponent Amanda was (c'mon, how tough can Dave be, and he crushed her spirit in a matter of five seconds), Woodie was waiting for this opportunity for months without this poor misguided soul ever realizing it. Sigh. Some will never learn.
Hey, Amanda, come meet my friend Dean. He has two helicopters and would like to challenge you to a race...
(On advice from my counsel I elect not to comment on exactly who showed Woodie that donut footage. But, if you must know, I'm pretty sure it was Dave, just before the police pulled him over ... but that's another story I won't be telling you
)

Amanda, well i see you go for the old people. My grandpa is always up for a good arm wrestle, can you handle him?
go for some youger people next time...

Paul CopioliLet me just tell you that Amanda got her doors worked by Woodie. It was like one of those Loony Tunes cartoons where the little wimpy guy is fighting his (or her in this case) heart out only to have the strong man (Woodie) doing other things while the fight is going on. I will get the picture from our camera and put it up here. When Woodie was done toying with her, he finished her off like she wasn't even there.
By the way, Andy's wife, Mary, took the picture. At the dinner was JVN, Amanda Morrison, my wife (Jen), Andy and Mary Baker, Woodie, and the Baker girls.
There is a picture of a grasshopper that Woodie drew and signed that will probably be auctioned off real soon (maybe in July?) ......

Amanada,
First you lost to Dave at IRI (sooo glad i can say i witnessed that one...) then I beat you a few months ago when you challenged me to a human player competition in the rotunda of the Indiana Statehouse, now you get beat by Woodie Flowers while he makes doodles with crayons at a applebees.... when will the humiliation end?
14-04-2006 09:31
JVNThe really impressive thing was they were arm wrestling over a bowl of ice-cream. Once Woodie kicked her butt, he was then gracious enough to give her the ice-cream anyways.

Rick TYlerJeez, is this turning into a "things I would like to challenge Amanda to" thread?
OK. I hereby challenge Amanda to a slouching-while-writing-code thread. She might beat me at coding speed, but never at slouching, and we all know that no one ever wrote good code sitting up straight. And ... I'll cruise CD at the same time.
