Another team number found in an interesting place.
931 will consider this as a possible defense-oriented design if FIRST creates a water-based game for 2007.

What really amuses me about this one is that I didn't make a connection until seeing this but... My team is Team 87. There is an Aegis Equiped Destroyer, DDG 87. AND I work for the Lockheed Martin Division that provided the Aegis Combat System for DDG 87.

Looks like there was an SS-237 named Trigger.

1114 was a pleasure boat taken over by the Navy to patrol the Texas coastline during World War I - ooooh lots of danger involved there. Soak in the sunshine and drink mint juleps all day. Sounds like something those Simbot mentors would do!

A by-product of the search was three pages of integral calculus, seemingly unrelated to 461 except by the course number. The derivation shows why the transcendental number pi appears in the formula for the normal (Gaussian) probability density function commonly called the bell curve. So I guess 461 rings a bell ...

Its one thing to joke about next years robot design, Its another to put up vessels, trains or other objects bearing your schools number and on top of it all you know the history behind not just a team number on the side of a ship or robot design.
Basically this is all fun and games for the sake of starting cool rumors but on the other hand what you are really doing is educating one another about history that just so happened to bear your team numbers - later on rep points shall be given and just so i don't forget to hand them out I will subscribe to this thread =)

Better hope for balls in next year's game too Andy, cause I think I spot a poof ball or some other kind, and a big fan behind it ready to blow it into orbit? LOL
That ball may rival the size of Epcot's Spaceship Earth.. I think we need bigger goals next year. (both on and off the field). 
And, if it really was 45's boat, how come the ball is gray, and not a led lit up thing like your ball drop ball?

USS Bridget (Hull No. 1024) was an escort ship. Its been dismantled and sold for scrap!!! 
That's why we were thinking of something more like.... this:
It's too bad that the 1,150hp engine might put us just a little over weight... but hey, that's what speed holes are for! 
Looks like '07 is going to be a pretty rough-n-tumble year... i wonder where the red, blue, and green lights come in to this

I gave some rep points out for those who were able to link their team numbers to a historical object but there are many people here who just posted "look heres an iteam with out team number on it". I will award rep points to those who can not only match their team numbers with todays Flying, Floating and Submerged fortresses but also identify what role they played for the US.
I would like to also say that Elgin and Hoffman I'd like to give rep do you guys buttttttt....... VBulletin says I need to spread the love around so I didn't forget you guys. =)
