Segway used by cameraman at the British Open

While watching the British Open I saw cameramen using Segway to navigate the course.

Thats some pretty sweet stuff there. So many uses for those bad boys. I think it would be cool to see a stewardess on the airlines to use one.

Until the plane started climbing, turning, descending...

Haha, Segway Rodeo! How long can you stay on?

I'm seeing Segways around more and more, its nice to see them slowly mainstreaming, now if only they'd get cheaper, in to the poor-soon-to-be-college-student-who-hates-walking-and-can't-afford-to-drive price range.....

Here just one example.
There was a program on TV the other day regarding the BattleBots;showing the new robots that are built on the concept of segway drive train, and can go into a war-zone, pick up the injured soldiers and bring them back to the base safely. Still in the initial stage, but that thing was amazing though. I'll see if i can find a picture or the article, and will post it soon

There's an article on page 13 of the Summer 2006 issue of Robot Magazine. But I'm not sure if it's the one you're looking for. It doesn't look like a Segway. It is being developed by Vecna Technologies and is called the BEAR (Battlefield Extraction and Retrieval).

How many motion sensors are contained in this image?
