Morgan GillespieOh it gets so much better, for they have the chicken ring sandwich. Yum, *puke*.

28-07-2006 00:35
Joe_WidenThey have some fabulous mini hamburgers though. I love em so much. They taste so good. Well except that I eat 10 of em to fill me up.
28-07-2006 00:41
Morgan GillespieThey may be mini but they pack a mean calorie & fat punch.
Sandwich Calories Fat
Hamburger 140 7
Cheeseburger Jalapeno 160 9
Cheeseburger Bacon n/a n/a
Cheeseburger 200 13
Fish Sandwich 180 7
Chicken Sandwich 190 8
Chicken Ring Sandwich 180 8
As for where the chicken ring comes from, well I can think of one area, hmm, one area and the neck. Yum... I hate white castle. Can't say my TacoBell is much better, yet at least their food tastes good.

I too love White Castle! But I'm a firm believer that when you go to a place known for a specific type of food, you eat that type of food. White Castle = little bitty burgers. Thats what you eat! Not chicken rings! Its like going to a steak house or going to a seafood place and ordering the chicken!!!
No matter how much you like chicken, its not what they are known for!!!
And if you are going to count calories and fat... why bother going at all!

A couple members and I just had to stop and eat a White Castle on the way to and back from Atlanta this past year. It was the first time we ate there and hopefully wont be the last time I eat there. Part of the sensory appeal of food is the anticipation
So if you go there thinking that it is going to taste bad, its more than likely going to taste bad. But their burgers are really good. If not terribly unhealthy!

There arn't White Castles in North Virginia, so when we were at IRI 2004, we went. When Jason Morella informed Amanda of this decision, he was met with the response "Oh, you're feeling brave?". Think that sums it up pretty well

We stopped on our way back from IRI this year. It was my second time eating at the Castle and right after and I mean RIGHT after I finished my 4th burger, I went to the bathroom. Details by PM request only.

Ashley ChristineI didnt like white castle either, we dont have them in my area, so when I went to NJ last summer, we got some, and I felt sick for a few days.
I was very disappointed.

When I was a little fizzle we would visit family. They lived behind a White Castle.
Around 9 at night, folks would get hungry so an aunt would gather 3 of us little guys and we would go through a small forest, over a foot bridge, up a rocky slope to the back of the White Castle parking lot. Then we would place our order and all of us would be loaded down with bags of little white boxes of square little burgers covered in onions. We would practically float down the slope, over the bridge, and through the woods to the family waiting for a treat. Good times.

We have one in Kokomo, but I've never went there. The only thing I've ever bought from White Castle was a coke after the Indy 500 a few years back, no bad side effects by the way.

I'm a major fan of White Castle.
At IRI in 05, I went to the one in Castleton at 1am with a big order. They never expected me to order a crave case (30 burgers) in addition to the other things I bought.
For the record, this order was for 6 people...I just had to go pick it up.
Don't let the weak stomach people above fool you, White Castle is some good eats, especially late at night.

Our team does Relay for Life, a 24 hour walk-a-thon for cancer research. Last year, I was scheduled to come at 3:00 AM and take the early morning shift. I thought I'd be nice and pick up some food for the students who stayed the full 24 hours....
Bagel store... not open at 3:00 AM
Tim Horten's... RAN OUT OF DONUTS!!!
no place left but...
WHITE CASTLE!!!!!!
Let me tell you... don't give a group of high school students who've been CAMPING with A ROBOT for 24 hours a big bag of White Castle.

Fact: the White Castle in "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" doesnt exist
Fact: Kal Penn(Kumar) is a vegatarian and therefore does not eat at white castle, in the movie fakes had to be made for him
- White Castle...not worth eating at...

One time, during build season (
) we were at the school late at night, so we sent someone out to get food. He came back with TWO Crave Cases and at least 6 or 7 Sacks of Sides.
For six people (granted, one of them was Big Mike).
It was so amazing. I love White Castle. You just have to have the proper intestinal fortitude to withstand it.

I don't understand why the burgers have to be so small, though. Yes, they're good, but can't they be bigger? Happy Meals have bigger burgers.

I still like Wendy's the best when it comes to fast food, although they will sometimes short you a straw or order of fries.

Around here there are plenty of mom and pop places to get "sliders" as they are known. It's great to see the slider get wrapped in white paper, only to unwrap it a minute later from what appears to be translucent paper. Mmm... grease... gack.... |

. I've never bought them by the case, but a couple times a month I buy 2 frozen 6 paks from the local grocery store. Yummy!

I was ever so happy when I climbed back into the stands at IRI to watch some more of those amazing matches and 1902's Wendymom handed me a couple of White Castle boxes containing those tiny little hamburgers. I felt like Wimpy.

I'd heard that there were some bad...after-effects...but I personally have never eaten there. Why would anyone eat something referred to as a "slyder"? Ummm...no thanks. JBot |

Don't ask why they call it the slyder!!!! I usually go for the bacon cheeseburghers at about 3 - 4 of them (simply b/c they're so small. But anything more then 4 you usually start looking for trouble or the nearest restroom which ever should irritate you first
. Don't get me wrong I'll go to White Castle for the Bacon Cheeseburghers, Wendys for the Baconator / Big Bacon Classic, Burgher King for the Double Bacon Cheeseburgher or MOEs Southwestern grill but the one that usually has me CHARGING for the restroom is White Castle....It's probably something in the beef that they use or the soda that I get with it. Nevertheless White Castle is good in my book.
