This past weekend, Team 25 attended a picnic held by New Jersey Congressman Rush Holt. We were able to talk about FIRST and perform a demo. Both the political figures and citizens from the surrounding towns who attended were very interested, as was Rush who has a B.A., M.S., and a Ph.D. in physics.

look at em go (hippity hoppity)
robots on the loose!
The Fairport team built a robot that launched car innertubes for the '97 competition. It was great taking it out into public
cause first people saw this cool little robot, named R2K2, all red and yellow and cute, and they might have realized there was an inner tube inside it
but not a single person was prepared for what happened next, when you said "CATCH!" and it shot the tube 20 feet through the air at them.
I wish we had mounted a camera on the front of that robot, to catch peoples expressions when we fired the launcher.

There might be a lot of Crocodile Hunter quotes.

After "Walking Tall" throughout the 2006 Regionals and Championship rounds, your fine robot deserves a "Walk in the Park"!!!
Great job Team 25!
